Welcome to Middle School Science and P.E!
My name is Ms. Borges and I am so excited for the school year! I am a UCF graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My areas of study include Life/Biomedical Science, Social/Behavioral Science, and Science Education. I have ample credits in Chemistry and Mathematics as well!
Before teaching I have served as an AVID Tutor and Group Leader for various grade levels and course subjects. This I have been doing for over 4 years professionally. I am also a certified Zumba instructor with a passion for wellness and athletics!
At Passport Charter I will serve as the middle school teacher for science and P.E. (Physical Education), and as the head coach for soccer, volleyball, and basketball. I have played all of these sports myself in addition to my experience as a volunteer coach for soccer and basketball.
This year my goal is to get my students thinking like scientists! They will actively participate in various learning formats such as analyzing data, conducting experiments, doing research, and communicating their knowledge. P.E. will take on many forms as well to include outside fitness, team sports, and indoor practice concerning health and wellness. I am looking forward to a great and successful school year for my middle school students!
